Who has the most influence on you?
Everybody has their own role model that they look up to. If you do not have any, it is strongly recommended to find one. In case you don’t have any, you still might have someone who has influence on you. Who is that person in your life who has the most influence on you and your life?
- Your mom?
- Your dad?
- Your spouse?
- Your teacher?
- Your mentor?
- Your friend?
Well, none of the above. Yes, mom and dad are influential, but not always. Same is the situation with spouse, friend and mentor.
The other day I learned that, the most influential person for you is – your BOSS. Your boss or supervisor is someone, who has the most influence on you, almost always.
Why?
Well, because he has control over your survival. If you are a working professional, then you might know what I am talking about. Most of the times, you do it because your boss wants it. Most of the times, you do it that way because your boss likes it that way. You try to follow him – what approach does he prefer, how does he work, how does he think, how does he react, what clothes does he wear, how does he talk, what does he do in the evening time, and lot more…
There is nothing wrong in this approach. As long as you are changing for good, then it shouldn’t matter whom you are following. I guess 90% people fall in this category. And it’s a proven path, so we don’t have to worry about it.
But how about other 10%? Who are they and what they do? I guess those 10% are entrepreneurs. They take the control of themselves. They go their own way. They influence the people. And they change the world.
