What I’m Thinking? – (via Twitter)

with 2 comments

I am still doing some interesting stuff on Twitter that I mentioned a few weeks ago – post random, but quite meaningful thoughts in less than 140 characters. Here are my latest ones -

My Thoughts -

Technology is difficult until we learn it. But it's not the case with Sales.

Philosophical discussions like "purpose of life" are fun, but I'm too materialistic to ignore them until I finish my work.

I'm the only one who knows what I'm dealing with. Same is the case with you. So please, let's stop judging others.

What will get counted and what will not is sometimes uncertain. But it is certain that – we are learning some counting.

Every single day my goal is to "be more efficient" than I was previous day. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail. But the goal persists.

Loving what I'm doing. Doing what I'm loving.

Famous Quotes -

Failure is not the only punishment for laziness; there is also the success of others. – Jules Renard

The best marketing is through Education. -Steve Jobs

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler. -Albert Einstein

If I had 20 days to solve a problem, then I would take 19 days to define it. -Albert Einstien

Just keep on throwing. Even if you're a complete idiot, eventually you'll hit the bulls eye. -Brian Tracy

I think it's very important to find the core, but it's more important to communicate it with others.

When you are saying 3 things, you aren't really saying anything. Please tell me, what's the most important thing. Period.

I think good leaders don't get into the
details of solutions. They just convey the intent. And subordinates
come up with their own solutions.

Is your startup idea a pill or a vitamin? Don't worry. Some people need both!

Give something that they want to take and not that you want give – can be the mantra of building an active community.

I hope you liked them. If you want to follow me on Twitter, here I'm – Aditya Kothadiya on Twitter

WebGuru # 1: Know Thyself – The Mantra of Success

without comments

By Prof. Haresh Shah, Stanford University

COEP Foundation’s Silicon Valley Chapter conducts a very interesting series called “WebGuru: COEP Foundation’s Distance Guidance Initiative”. This series basically enables students in Pune (India) to learn more about future career prospects straight from insights and experiences of successful leaders in USA through live video conferencing session.

We inaugurated this series by Prof. Haresh Shah’s talk on “The Mantra of Success”.

About Speaker: Prof. Haresh Shah has been a pioneer in the fields of risk analysis, earthquake engineering, and probabilistic methods for over 35 years. He has served Stanford University in many capacities, including Chairman of the Department of Civil Engineering and Founding Director of the John A. Blume Earthquake Engineering Center. Dr. Shah received a B. E. degree (1959) from College of Engineering, Pune, India, and degrees of M. S. (1960) and Ph. D. (1963) from Stanford University.

Abstract: In the evolving and dynamic global markets and opportunities, it is important for young, ambitious, entrepreneurial, and upwardly mobile students to be well prepared for the opportunities and challenges that they will face. The theme of Prof. Shah’s talk is: “It is far better to be well educated than well trained”. The former option is strategic, the later option being tactical. Prof. Shah will articulate the great but subtle differences between highly educated and highly trained programs for college education. Understanding of the geopolitical changes, the globalize economies, the movement of manufacturing, services, and research jobs between economies, and the role of entrepreneurship will be essential to compete in the world of the 21st century. Prof. Shah has explored all these issues during this lecture.

Disclaimer and some facts:

This is 1 hr. 3 mins lecture session. But it is highly recommended to watch this video. The discussion gets very interesting from the middle of the session.

This recording has done through an alternate camera, because of which there are some visual distractions during the lecture.

Due to technical difficulties on India side, we had to continue the session using some other mediums like cell phone. So please bear with that.

I hope you will enjoy this learning session!

with 11 comments

with one comment

with 3 comments

with 2 comments
